 about me

Hi, I’m Julie Burket. I own Right at Home of Central Oregon along with my husband, Dr. Bradley J. Burket, a Bend physician. We purchased the entire Central Oregon franchise territory from Right at Home, Inc. as we are seeing the increasing need for in-home care services throughout our region. Right at Home, Inc. is an in-home care and assistance agency franchise for seniors and the disabled based in Omaha, Nebraska. Currently there over just over 200 RAH franchises and the company is continuing rapid growth across the United States and is now also in the United Kingdom.

Brad has been in practice as a Family Physician and a Dentist for over 13 years in the area, and I have been working closely with him in the practice overseeing the general management, and the financial aspects of the business. Our contacts in the healthcare community and our experience and understanding of business ownership have helped us in our endeavor to obtain a license in the state of Oregon to operate an in home care agency. State requirements now require new owners or operators to have a “health related background and management experience.”

The need for in-home care is rising. With the “Baby-Boomers” just reaching retirement age, the plight of the healthcare costs and lack of coverage for Americans, experts in the industry predict the need will only continue to increase dramatically. Medicare does not cover the cost of in-home care, and often times will not cover other options when it comes to caring for seniors. In-home care is generally a favorable option since we provide one-on-one care, and charge by the hour. And most important, the senior is able to remain at home, where they are most secure and comfortable.

We know there are many options when it comes to hiring care for someone you love. We’d appreciate the opportunity to prove that we can truly provide wonderful care and “improve the quality of life for those we serve!
